Канадската група Voivod е сред пионерите на progressive thrash метъла. Основана през 1982 г. в Жонкиер, Квебек, изгражда си международна репутация благодарение на оригиналното звучене на китарите и sci-fi текстове за бъдещето и машинното господство. През повече от 40-годишната си кариера групата преминава през множество промени в състава, като барабанистът Мишел „Away“ Ланжевен остава единственият постоянен член.
Компилационният бокс Forgotten in Space излиза през 2022 г. на шест диска от издателство Sanctuary Records. Съдържа три основни албума от периода 1986-1988 г., записани за лейбъла Noise (Rrröööaaarrr, Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss), допълнени с демо записи, концертни записи и концертни кадри на DVD. Общо предлага 90 песни, документиращи ранната ера на групата, когато Voivod се утвърждава като една от най-влиятелните метъл формации в ъндърграунда на 80-те години.
По време на издаването на бокса съставът включваше Мишел Ланжевен на барабани, Даниел Монгрейн на електрическа китара и Доминик Ларош на бас китара.
