Hawkwind са английска рок група, известна като един от главните представители на space rock. Групата е основана през ноември 1969 г. и включва в музиката си елементи на хард рок, прогресив рок и психеделичен рок. Текстовете им често засягат теми от градския живот и научната фантастика.
Албумът The 1999 Party на двоен винил представя концертен запис от Chicago Auditorium от 21 март 1974 г., първоначално издаден през 1997 г. само на CD. За Record Store Day 2019 това издание излиза на винил в ограничен тираж от 5500 копия. Записът съдържа класически песни като Brainstorm, Sonic Attack и Master of the Universe, които предават характерните бавни инструментални пасажи и звука на електронни органи, типични за space rock.
