Mental Cruelty е немска blackened deathcore банда от Карлсруе, основана през 2016 година. Музиката им съчетава елементи на death metal, slam и black metal с брутален вокал и епични оркестрови пасажи.
Албумът Purgatorium излезе в лимитирано преиздание от 2022 година на CD. Съдържа осем песни, сред които се открояват The Rise of the Antichrist, Vicarius Filii Die и Immortalising Purgatory. Това издание предлага също инструментални версии на всичките осем парчета, което позволява на слушателите да се съсредоточат върху сложната инструментация и атмосферните оркестрации без вокалните партии.
